The Origin of Shame, Hatred and Disfavours
“7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?” Genesis 3:7-11
Adam and Eve were made in God’s image and likeness and were covered with His glory. They were beautifully and wonderfully made. They were given everything they needed even before they were made. God put them in the Garden of Eden (pleasure) to take care of it. They lived blissfully and lovingly enjoying their world and were also privileged to enjoy the euphoria of God’s presence with them from time to time.
God gave Adam just one command which was so easy to demonstrate his continual loyalty to God.
“15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 1:15-17
Just a simple single command for man to remain in the bliss of the garden. Unfortunately, the devil who hated God and man came craftily manipulated Eve who eventually manipulated Adam to disobey the command and brought the shame, hatred and disfavour upon themselves and all of humanity.
“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Genesis 3:6
Through this disobedience, the doorway was opened for satan and his demons to infiltrate the earth and they did infiltrate the earth as can be seen in the resultant effect in the relationship between Adam and His wife and the two of them with God also.
Shame came into manifestation
“And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.” Genesis 3:7
Hatred came into manifestation
“And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.”
Disfavour came into manifestation
“17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18 thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19 in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” Genesis 3:17-19
The fall brought about total shame and disgrace that made God to drive them out of the Garden.
“23 therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden” Genesis 3:23-24
Through the rebellion and disobedience of man, the forces of evil came into the earth to dominate man and also manipulate the destinies of men against the will and plans of God. The forces of shame, hatred and disfavour are powerful demons that rule over the lives of people and make it difficult for many to fulfil their destinies on earth.
Rebellion and disobedience open the earth’s doors for the evil spirits behind these evils to come into play. Right from the day of the fall problems came upon man’s relationship with God and the demons of shame, hatred and disfavours became powerful forces on earth.
